BORI..KOR??

YOU MAY BE WONDERING, what the heck is BoriKor??

Well, allow us to explain. BoriKor came to mind when we were thinking of ideas for our car license plates (LOL). It is also the name of our Animal Crossing: New Horizons island. We have even made a fused glass piece of our flags combined (pictured). The BoriKor name has definitely stuck with us. So what does it mean?

boricua + korea = BoriKor

boricua – the taíno word for a native of Borikén (the island of Puerto Rico before Spanish occupation); A reference to Oscar’s heritage

korea – A reference to Christie’s Korean heritage

Our Sagittarian, carpe diem spirits can’t be tamed! We both love to travel and after getting married, had high hopes for traveling together. But the 9-to-5 life doesn’t always allow for the traveling we hoped for and we decided: “Life is short, tomorrow is never guaranteed. ¡Vamos allá!”

We aren’t completely sure what is to come, but we do know that we want to live life to the fullest and share some nuggets along the way. And it definitely won’t always be peaches and roses, but we are all about keeping it real and making every day count. For us, that is the spirit of Vida BoriKor.
